Choc Collagen Bliss Balls

As we journey through menopause, our bodies undergo a range of changes that can impact skin elasticity, bone density, and even muscle strength. Collagen, a vital protein for maintaining skin, joints and connective tissue, naturally decreases as we age, making it especially beneficial for women in this phase.

These Choc Collagen Bliss Balls, created by Nat Evans and inspired by the team at Chief Nutrition, are more than just a tasty treat – they’re a simple, delicious way to give your body the collagen it needs!

Packed with rich chocolate flavour, they’re perfect for satisfying a sweet craving while supporting your body’s natural collagen production, skin hydration, joint health, gut health and overall resilience.

INGREDIENTS

  • 170g organic shredded coconut, plus extra dessicated coconut for rolling balls

  • 150g organic raw cashews

  • 1 tsp organic ground cinnamon

  • pinch of quality sea salt

  • 60g Chief Collagen Protein

  • 2 Tbl organic cocao powder

  • 4 Medjool dates, pitted

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

METHOD

  1. Blend with ease: add all ingredients to a food processor or Thermomix bowl and blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined. You’ll know it’s ready when it starts to “come up” the sides of the bowl—rich, sticky perfection!

  2. Shape your bliss: wet your hands lightly with water to prevent sticking, then roll the mixture into 16 even-sized balls. Alternatively, if time is tight, skip the rolling and embrace the effortless route: press the mixture firmly into a lamington tin lined with unbleached baking paper

  3. Add a finishing touch (optional): feeling fancy? Roll the balls in extra desiccated coconut for a beautiful, textured coating. Prefer to keep it simple? Just leave them as they are—we’re all about easy options here!

  4. Set and savor: pop the balls or pressed tin into the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up. Slice the set mixture into 16 pieces if using a tin. Then, enjoy your perfectly portioned, no-fuss treats!
